Please note: School visits for Frida Kahlo’s Flower Crown are available for booking after the book’s release this April 1st, 2025. 

A presentation includes:

-Nydia’s biography and writing journey

-The road to creativity and storytelling

-Discussion of themes from the book selected (Not Far From Here: community contributors. Frida Frida Kahlo’s Flower Crown: STEM themes).

-Read aloud of your chosen book.

-Book signing/group photos (optional)

2026-2027 Rates:

Single Presentation: $500 ~ Two Presentations: $850 ~ Three Presentations: $1150

School districts are highly encouraged to develop simplified author-visit policies that are separate from ‘vendor and independent contractor certification’, and which policies respect the author’s professional expertise and allow for an unburdened, enjoyable educational experience for the students.
